'People' are Assholes

After a strenuous morning working in the yard I took myself off to Middle Creek to photograph the Wood Frogs. This time of year the Vernal Ponds right alongside the road are the breeding ground for the Wood Frogs.  Vernal Ponds I drove slowly along the road so as not to disturb the frogs and parked about 25 yards away where even at that distance I could hear the chirping of the frogs. I got my camera and big lens and slowly worked my way towards the pond keeping very low without disturbing them. I sat down on the edge of the road, big lens resting on my knee when a car pulled up, stopped and a dumb ass woman got out noisily closed the door and walked across the road and loudly asked if there were any Wood Frogs. The frogs had gone completely silent so I told her there used be! Off she went and just as the frogs were starting up chirping another car pulled up right across the road and this old couple got out and walked right up oblivious to me sitting there with with a hulking great lens, of course the frogs quit their mating activities. I gave up and left in a huff. I fucking hate 'people'. Here's some Wood Frogs from a few years ago at another larger Vernal Pool away from any road. Wood Frogs

I didn't manage any decent photos of the Wood Frogs this time.

I carried on around the newly opened Tour Road and stopped overlooking the fields. I could hear loads of Snow Geese but coud not see them in any direction until I looked up, high above me hardly visible were hundreds maybe thousands of Snow Geese. I suppose they're on the way to their breeding grounds in the far North. Bye, Bye Snow Geese, see you next Winter.

Still extremely pissed off by the 'people' the only other bird I photographed before I left for home was a Canada Goose beside the pool at Stop 1.
